Prayer of a Priest

Jesus, Shepherd of my soul, live in the soul of Your shepherd:
In the depth of Your humility,
In the breadth of Your charity,
In the length of Your patience,
In the strength of Your courage.
Reign in me whom You have called;
Choose for me what you have chosen:
The last and the least,
The lowest and the poorest,
The worst and the hardest,
The crib and the cross.
Give me this day my daily bread, the grace to do my Father's will:
With pure intention,
With full attention,
To each duty of love,
At each moment of service.
Grant that my only business in life may be my
Father's business till death, my only eulogy:
"He was Another Christ." Amen.
